The Democrat Party and media (redundancy alert) have piled on in the wake of Saturday's heinous killing of 10 black people in Buffalo by a deranged white teen. Now they're labeling all Republicans and conservatives racist white nationalists and pointing the finger at Fox News commentator Tucker Carlson as the evil instigator.
It didn't take long for the sensationalism to begin. Left-wing Rolling Stone magazine ran this headline: "The Buffalo Shooter Isn't a Lone Wolf; he's a Mainstream Republican." Really?
CNN blowhard Jim Acosta accused Carlson of "peddling white nationalist talking points." Yawn.
Sleepy Joe Biden neglected to visit Waukesha, Wisconsin last November after a black nationalist with a long rap sheet drove his vehicle through a Christmas parade and killed six people including an eight-year-old boy while injuring 62. But Biden jumped at the chance to visit Buffalo today, resurrecting his bullshit narrative that white supremacists proliferate and are as menacing a threat to America as the Ku Klux Klan was back in the 1920s.
"White supremacy is a poison," Biden said. "It's a poison ... running through our body politic," he said, adding that silence is "complicity."
So I guess by being silent about other types of racial and/or religious bigotry, Sleepy Joe is complicit.
The great Glenn Greenwald lays out the double standards in his Substack column, "The Demented -- and Selective -- Game of Instantly Blaming Political Opponents for Mass Shootings."
Greenwald mentions the Waukesha case and other examples of the media giving less coverage and often not mentioning the perpetrator's race or political leanings if it was a black or leftist Democrat doing the shooting. He discusses the black man who shot and killed five Dallas police officers in 2016. He also mentions the late James Hodgkinson, an avid Bernie Sanders and Rachel Maddow fan who shot up a Republican baseball practice in June 2017 in Alexandria, Va. I certainly don't recall Fox News or any Republicans blaming Rachel Maddow or MSNBC for Hodgkinson's rampage.
But to hear today's left describe the Buffalo shootings, Fox News and Tucker Carlson had been urging such killings all along. These leftist hypocrites are absolutely full of it.
I don't want to stir up white vs. black racial animosities -- the bigotry goes both ways, along with tensions involving Asians, Hispanics and other racial/ethnic groups. Hatred, mental illness and scapegoating affect all races, and it is disgusting as well as shameful that one major political party -- the one with a horrendous track record these past couple of years; the one that is wrecking our country with its insane policies -- is promoting a one-sided, race-baiting narrative to try ginning up votes in the 2022 midterms.
Obama started it during his time in office, and Biden is continuing it, being the demagogue he is. Like so much of what the Demagogue Party does, this too, will go down in flames. The mother of all schadenfreude parties is coming in November.
