Very few AKs on the market are of RUSSIAN manufacture. Lots of Romanian stuff out there, some are Egyptian, Serbian, etc. If I'm not mistaken, even imported ones have to have a certain percentage of American components.

As to the AR vs AK debate, the nice thing about an AK is you can treat it like crap and it will still work. You can also feed the worst available ammunition through it without worrying about messing it up. They were designed to take a beating.

Why would you buy an inferior RUSSIAN rifle when you can get an AR for less than $500? I'll bet you could find a Barret REC7 for less too. Buy American!
