The revelations regarding Hollywood mogul Harvey Weinstein's serial lechery could not could at a worse time for the left.
Progressives have been stoking feminist rage for years, pushing college rape myths and launching "pussy marches" against the eeevil patriarchy of President Trump.
Now they have met the ultimate enemy, and he is squarely within their own ranks.
A number of A-listers are being caught up in the furor, from leading ladies who looked the other way while cashing their settlements to leading men who indulged in their own grab-assery. (I love that word, "grab-assery." Learned it from an Army colonel. Wonderfully expressive, isn't it?)
Now the Dowager Empress Hillary I is caught up in the web, and a critical eye is at last being directed at her enabling relationship with her husband. People demanding that she speak more forcefully against her "dear, dear friend Harvey" must recall that Bill and Harvey were birds of a feather, to pervs in a pod.
Both of them likes to whip out their junk and flaunt it before helpless women.
But the contagion doesn't stop there. NBC News is rightly getting hammered for killing this story multiple times. The mob is fired up, the torches are lit and the pitchforks are in motion. Who will be their next victim?
In an environment where historic statues are defiled and removed seemingly at random, are we now surprised that people are demanding that Oscars be revoked?
This isn't even close to being over. Progressives are in a bloody frenzy and having been denied Trump's brightly-colored scalp for more than a year, they need to taste some kind of flesh to sate their ravenous hunger.
If it come from their own side, well that will have to do. The bastards had it coming.
Plus, it couldn't happen to a more deserving group of people. Reaping the whirlwind, indeed.
