Kaepernick: The Quintessential Democrat

You've probably heard by now about San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick refusing to stand for the national anthem because he believes this nation still oppresses blacks and there are way too many injustices toward minorities. I would bet my last dollar Kapernick is a big supporter of Barack Obama. He fits the bill perfectly: Entitled, spoiled, ignorant.

As you might expect, Kaepernick sounds quite inarticulate and -- let's be blunt -- stupid when he's asked to explain his position. For starters, he doesn't have the common sense to realize how absurd he looks. Born to a teenaged white mother who gave him up for adoption and a black father who didn't stick around, Kaepernick was adopted by a white couple.

He was scouted by whites, coached by whites and is paid by a white owner. His seven-year, $126 million contract (grossly generous when one considers his poor performance on the field in recent years) demonstrates that this nation cannot be all that bad for black people.

Like so many Democrats and progressives, Kaepernick fails to appreciate the sacrifices and suffering of millions of men and women who served in our military to protect our liberties -- including his right to spout off with his silly grievances. Kaepernick subscribes to the inaccurate left/liberal narrative that white cops are out to brutalize and kill black men. That whenever a cop shoots or kills a black and was wrong to do so, he gets away with it.

As I have discussed many times, in most cases when a black man has an altercation with an officer or is shot by the officer, the black man did something to provoke it, e.g. Michael Brown trying to grab an officer's gun in Ferguson, Mo., or Eric Garner resisting arrest in New York City and being wrestled down by a group of officers due to his large size. Most of these black men have lengthy criminal records. They are not the innocent, upstanding citizens the media portrays them to be.

And in cases where police were believed to be at fault, they are invariably charged. The Baltimore officers charged with the death of Freddie Gray, who died while being transported in a police wagon, were tried and acquitted. Michael Slager, a police officer in North Charleston, S.C., was charged with murder after he shot Walter Scott in the back as Scott, unarmed, was running away. So the bad apples are held accountable, and in cases like Baltimore, even those who ought not to be charged sometimes are (someone should file a formal complaint against Baltimore's militant D.A., Marilyn Mosby, but that's a topic for another day). But don't try telling this to Kapernick. His mind is made up. Or maybe he has been brainwashed by the poisonous administration in the White House.

Kaepernick doesn't know what oppression and hellish living conditions are, because he's too ignorant to read up on the atrocities going on in the Middle East, Africa and elsewhere. Someone who pulled a stunt like he did in a totalitarian nation would be hauled off to the gulag for torture and misery, and never heard from again. Hey, Colin, millions of people are dying to get into this nation because it's the greatest in the world. You ought to be ashamed of yourself for your immaturity and stupidity.

At any rate, Kaepernick is an embarrassment to the San Francisco 49ers and the National Football League. But no doubt the idiots at ESPN, which has become increasingly left-wing in recent years, will defend him endlessly. Sad to say, this nation has millions of dunderheads like Kaepernick, and that's why a mendacious criminal harridan like Hillary Clinton has a good chance to be elected president.

The astounding volume of inane clichés, inaccuracies and stupid blather parroted by mainstream news commentators and network anchors really staggers the mind. I have complained for years that not only do many commentators lean left and have little or no knowledge of Econ 101, the U.S. Constitution or American history, they also are parrots, utterly devoid of creativity or originality. They live in the liberal echo chamber, and actually think they are illustrious when they repeat what they hear their fellow travelers say.

Rush Limbaugh frequently plays the same pap repeated by mainstream reporters during his program's audio sound bites. He’ll splice together quick comments or statements from six or eight different network reporters, and you’ll hear the same talking points and/or “word du jour” repeated ad nauseam. The most recent example was use of the adjective “dark” by reports describing Donald Trump’s acceptance speech at the Republican Convention in July. How many times will they keep repeating this worn-out word, I wondered. Have they ever considered using a thesaurus, or just racking their pea brains for a minute to come up with an original descriptive word and avoid sounding like another mindless parrot? Apparently not. That seems to be, to paraphrase our imperious president, “above their pay grade.”

Well, the parrots are at it again…

Last week, Trump’s campaign announced the candidate would take his case to the inner cities, attempting to persuade blacks whose lives have not been improved after decades of loyally voting for Democrats to instead support him in the coming presidential election.

On Labor Day weekend, Trump will speak to a black church in inner city Detroit. More such stops are planned in the coming weeks in other major cities.

A couple days ago, TV commentators, political strategists, pollsters and other hacks began repeating a tired line that Trump really has no intention of helping blacks, nor does he expect to earn their votes. He is doing this, they claim, simply to appear more moderate and as someone with empathy for the downtrodden so as to gain greater support from college-educated white women. A rather absurd analysis when you consider that if The Donald succeeds in peeling off just a small percentage of black voters from Hillary Clinton (something in the 5-to-10 percent range), this could easily tip several swing states in his favor.

Another leftist line that keeps making the rounds is that African Americans are offended by Trump’s description of the miserable state of so many millions of poor blacks living in urban centers with high crime, failing schools, gangs, drugs and poor housing. How dare he describe African Americans that way, the leftists of color proclaim. There are millions of college-educated, middle class and wealthy blacks who are quite accomplished, live in nice homes and whose children attend quality schools.

Um….yeah…this is a certainty. Did Trump ever say otherwise? Did he ever imply that he thought ALL of black America was a disaster? Obviously not. His pitch is to the downtrodden blacks in inner cities who are suffering because of liberal Democrat policies affecting areas such as education, law enforcement, the justice system, health care and tax policies. And besides, many black leaders themselves have expressed anguish, exasperation and alarm at the very same pathologies Trump is noting. It's okay for them to do it, but not for a wealthy white guy?

Trump is pointing out the obvious (something the corrupt mainstream media has failed to do for decades): Liberal, left-wing, Democrat policies have not helped struggling poor blacks in inner cities, the vast majority of which have been ruled by Democrats for 40 years or longer. In fact, they have made things measurably worse. The south side of Chicago is a killing zone, an appalling reality, after many decades of Democrats ruling the Windy City. What was Einstein’s definition of insanity again? Trump is simply encouraging poor blacks who feel hopeless and disillusioned by the empty promises of Democrats to ignore the B.S. brainwashings they’ve endured about Republicans, and give him a chance this November.

That is entirely reasonable, and I think he has a legitimate chance at being heard and gaining significant support from blacks who are fed up with Democrats’ failure to deliver and their arrogant assumption that they can always count on black support without rewarding it in any way, shape or form.

It is probably the very real threat Trump represents to this important faction of the Democrat kaleidoscope --- er, Rainbow Coaltion – that sends Democrat commentators into a tizzy and spurs them to spout inanity over the airwaves.

Libertarians complete their transition to progressive liberals

Two decades ago as I began my rightward journey, I sometimes flirted with the Libertarian Party.  True, they were small, electorally irrelevant and staffed by wackos, but their policies were great - 100 proof shots of small government, quite unlike the 3 percent beer the GOP routinely peddles.

Unlike the GOP, the Libertarians were committed to the actual repeal of the Welfare State.  They advocated a glorious new future of economic growth and personal freedom.

Hell, they even had the guts to say that much of our civil rights laws were an affront the freedom of association, something no one in the GOP would dare to do.

The problem was that they were also utterly insane.  Their foreign policy was wildly incoherent and unrealistic, on par with hippies holding hands and chanting near missile silos to make the nukes malfunction.

Of course that was likely because their single biggest issue was ending the War on Drugs.  Oh the wonders we would see once pot, heroin and cocaine could be sold like ice cream in roving trucks that would bring it right to your house!  In this instance, I'm absolutely certain that they practiced what they preached because most of their members (not to mention political candidates) seemed to be under the influence of heavy narcotics.

Thanks in no small part to the Paul family (Ron and Rand), their philosophy experienced a resurgence in recent years.  Even rational conservatives began to take a second look and recognize that the entire structure of government was becoming completely corrupt.  The only solution is to dismantle it and instead of being a pipe dream, it was now a matter of urgent need.  The IRS, FBI and EPA had crossed the line and were openly taking extra-legal action.  Obamacare was a massive affront to personal liberty.  Something radical had to be done.

This was Rand Paul's "Libertarian moment," and many folks expected great things in 2015 as the GOP campaign heated up. 

Instead we got The Trumpening.

Of course part of the problem was with the Libertarians themselves.  Recent events confirm suspicions that their most sacred principle (besides taking drugs) is that they hate Republicans and would rather see the Dems establish a socialist dictatorship than support the GOP.

Their hatred of social conservatives is visceral and implacable.  This was revealed by none other than their presidential ticket.  Given a galaxy of alleged geniuses, the best these guys could do was pick to RINO ex-GOP governors who have a track record of caving to the left.

But it gets better.  When asked if the Libertarians would defend the freedom of religious people against state coercion to bake cakes and take pictures in same-sex marriage ceremonies, Libertarian presidential candidate Gary Johnson said "no."

What is particularly amusing about this is that the hacks at Reason magazine jumped to defend their guy, showing that they had even less scruples than the hacks at National Review and The Weekly Standard.  Who knew Libertarians were such loyal Party men?

Of course, Reason was a big fan of Obama and most of their staff supported him over McCain back in the day.  Romney they roundly condemned because even though Obama had nationalized one-seventh of the economy, Romney was a Mormon.

I won't even touch on the irony that Reason magazine's entire existence is owed to the tax code that its writers are pledge to repeal.  Without tax shelters, it would go the way of George magazine.

I think this really goes to show the utter idiocy of Libertarians.  Given a rare opportunity where partisans of both sides are looking for a third candidate, they pulled two establishment hacks out of retirement so they could run to the left of the GOP.

Heckuva job guys.

Right Message, Wrong Audience

I am delighted that Donald Trump has, on numerous occasions, slammed the Democrats for their utter failure to improve the lives of millions of black Americans, and for the destruction their policies have wreaked in urban areas. The evidence is overwhelming, but has been like the proverbial elephant in the living room for far too long.

The disgraceful track record of Democrats in major cities and African American communities from coast to coast is appalling, and Trump must continue to shine the light on this hideous legacy so that the unaware and ignorant will become aware and informed.

But one thing concerns me: Why does The Donald make these statements in front of mostly white audiences, in suburban venues such as West Bend, Wis., and Dimondale, Mich.? Why not have the courage to speak to largely black audiences? Granted, many will offer, at best, a cold and skeptical reception. Some will protest vehemently, spurred on by the likes of scumbag George Soros and his fellow subversives. But I guarantee, a fair number of blacks will respect Trump for "showing up," as the expression goes. For having the courage to venture into potentially hostile territory and make his case.

Numerous times, I have heard conservative black activists state that Republicans must stop ceding the African American vote to Democrats, writing it off as if it is totally a lost cause. As I have noted in past posts, school choice and abortion are a couple of key wedge issues that could help Republicans gain inroads in black communities. It's too late for gay marriage to be an issue, as the Supreme Court has legalized it. But Republicans ought to continuously remind blacks, who largely oppose gay marriage, that the feds trampled on their wishes and shoved gay marriage down their throats.

There haven't been many examples of Republicans reaching out to black communities. The late Congressman Jack Kemp, vice-presidential running mate of Sen. Bob Dole in 1996, was an advocate of enterprise zones to stimulate investment in urban areas, and he worked hard to establish and maintain positive relations with blacks. And although few remember it, Ronald Reagan had the cojones to show up in the South Bronx in 1980 and plead with residents of that dystopian wasteland that they ought to give him a chance.

Donald Trump hit the nail on the head when he asked distressed black Americans: "What the hell have you got to lose by voting for me?" He just needs to make sure they understand he's sincere, and he can do that by taking his message of deliverance from the Democrat welfare/big government plantation to the people whose lives and futures have been wrecked by left-wing ideology.

The Trumpster Ramps Up

No, I have not given up on the Posse, nor have I lost interest in posting. It's just that work has been all-consuming for several weeks, and that tends to mean sleep is priority No. 1 at night when I might be otherwise inclined to give my two cents' worth.

Donald Trump's recent doings are definitely worthy of comment. A week or two ago, CNN and other in-the-tank-for-Democrat commentators were gloating about how Hillary Clinton held a 10-15 point lead over The Donald. This election could be a blowout, and Trump was fading fast, the thinking went.

Trump did himself no favors with his frequent foot-in-mouth antics and utter lack of self-discipline, but even if he learns to be more focused and cogent, he faces an uphill struggle against a thoroughly corrupt media and a ruthless, well-funded Clinton machine.

But a few positive developments of late have Orange Julius looking more chipper these days. One has been his recent tendency to deliver more substantive and focused speeches in which he outlined his plans for reviving the economy, improving homeland security, fixing immigration and repealing Obamacare.

The other was a change in his campaign leadership. Stephen K. Bannon, chairman of the Breitbart News website, has been named chief executive of the campaign. Longtime GOP operative Kellyanne Conway has been named campaign manager, and she may be the person who has been writing the more compelling speeches and urging The Donald to stay on script. Former campaign director Paul Manafort has stepped aside -- probably because he saw the writing on the wall and didn't want to fill a figurehead position.

The left-wing media hacks can't put down their pom-poms long enough to note that the Clinton campaign has been spending hundreds of millions of dollars on TV ads in recent weeks, while the Trumpster is just now beginning to advertise in key battleground states. It stands to reason that she would lead him in the polls. Plus, Trump hasn't conquered foot-in-mouth disease, although his missteps have declined in recent days.

Following a good speech a couple weeks ago, The Donald cracked a bad joke about "Second Amendment people" that was referring to their intensity and commitment to their cause, but the media was hysterical, accusing him of hoping someone would assassinate Hillary Clinton. And a couple days ago, another great speech was overshadowed by the campaign's personnel moves the next day.

But Trump is hitting Hillary and the Democrats hard -- for corruption, an anemic economy, the miserable state of urban America with poverty and crime devastating the lives of millions of blacks. Also, for insane immigration policies; subservience to failed government schools and opposition to school choice; the Trojan Horse of Obamacare; bad trade deals; and a military in decline. He needs to keep on hammering -- relentlessly and harshly, day after day.

Trump must be careful about being loquacious, because it often makes him sound so foolish. During Friday's speech he made the preposterous claim that if he wins in November, his policies will be so beneficial to blacks that more than 95 percent of them will support him for re-election. This is delusional stuff. He also rambled on about how we will be a unified nation, love each other, blah blah.... Utterly absurd. The bitterness, rancor and polarization plaguing our nation will never end. It can't, because both sides are so thoroughly entrenched, and most people would rather talk than listen, learn and study.

A couple things to keep in mind: In the summer of 1988, Democratic nominee Michael Dukakis led then Vice President George H.W. Bush by 17 points. Bush won the popular vote 53 to 46 percent. (Granted, the demographics are far different now, and the media is even more corrupt than then, but this does indicate how much polls can fluctuate in a few weeks.)

Also, Trump faced long odds when the Republicans had about 16 candidates vying for the nomination a year ago. Harry Enten, the so-called election specialist at Nate Silver's FiveThirtyEight.com website, wrote last summer that "Trump has a better chance of cameoing in another “Home Alone” movie with Macaulay Culkin — or playing in the NBA Finals — than winning the Republican nomination."

If memory serves, LeBron James and Stephen Curry didn't have an orange-haired galoot to pass the ball off to when their squads tangled in the NBA Finals last June.

Stay tuned. Things are going to get really interesting, and if the Clinton camp is complacent, they really ought not to be.

 

The state of the campaign - August 2016

As the calendar marches towards Labor Day, the dynamics of the presidential campaign seem to have stabilized.

I say "seem to" because this is the most volatile political season in my lifetime (note:  I was born after 1968).

Going forward, I think these are the critical factors that will decide the race.

Polling is useless

I know that the establishment types love to rip on Trump supporters who question the accuracy of the polls, but this is a genuine concern.  Polling uses samples and formulae that seek to duplicate the turnout of past elections and all of that fails when we move into new territory.  I've said it before:  2016 is a black swan event.  The usual rules do not apply.

In this respect is it similar to the Brexit election in the UK, where polling was wildly off target.  Even here in the States we've seen huge misses, most notably here in Michigan where Sanders was 20 points behind and still notched a narrow win against Hillary.

Thus when people pronounce Trump doomed because a poll shows bad numbers, it's just static.  Meaningless except as content filler.

The press is openly campaigning for Hillary 

We've seen bias before, but nothing like this.  The press is to the point where they are simply  making up nasty stories about Trump.  They have openly admitted this.  Their ability to sway opinion is diminished, but the practical effect is that it's going to be hard to know anything given that straight news reporting is effectively gone.

Hillary is widely hated and she knows it

The Democrats at a certain level know that their Queen Bee is hated and distrusted.  Unlike Obama, she has no true believers, only a hardened veterans fighting out of party loyalty and hatred of all things Republican.  Had Bernie Sanders shown an ounce of political savvy, he would have crushed her, and his supporters know it.

In practical terms this means that even with a huge spending advantage, the media determined to drag her across the finish line and the GOP establishment acting as a Fifth Column against their nominee, she is still unable to pull away.

Hillary is a hostage of events

How about that ransom for Iranian hostages?  Did anyone see that coming?  Of course not.  There is more to come.  Hillary and Obama have been kicking the can down the road for eight years and an entire warehouse full of shoes is waiting to drop.  The loathsome Julian Assange has conceived a bitter vendetta against Hillary and is biding his time to strike again.  Vladimir Putin also despises the Clintons (perhaps because of how Russia was treated under Bill and the way Obama has spit on him), so he too will exploit circumstances.

Every race riot, every terrorist attack, every Russian move or Chinese provocation will make Hillary's claims to competence that much harder to sustain. Joe Biden pissed off Japan last week - naturally while trying to show Trump was incompetent.

These people are utterly incompetent and they've exhausted the design margin.  What happens if Obama's "dear friend" Recep Erdogan demands we hand over alleged coup-plotter Fethullah Gulen and prohibits operations from our bases there until we do? 

How will the Dems blame a Russian invasion of Ukraine on Trump, or  the fact that we are sliding once more into recession?

The Never Trumpers are collapsing

I figured that as the race heated up, most of the energy would go out of the Never Trump movement.  These guys are - at their core - moral cowards who have made their careers trying to show liberals that they are the "nice" conservatives.  At every turn where they could have gone full-on after progressives, they have pulled back on grounds of etiquette and their imagined propriety.

Their current line of reasoning is that the base deserves to suffer through a Clinton restoration to learn their place.  This is utterly insane.  This is like a general purposefully losing a battle to discipline his army.  Assuming anything survives, the troops will kill him first, not meekly submit to his authority.

Two factors are at work here.  The first is the continual drip-drip of Clinton sleaze, making it clear that if she wins, the Republic will be finished.  Even the tame establishment GOP will be subject to midnight police raids because she will be above the law.

The second is that Trump is showing better skill, backing down his rhetoric, and this gives them cover to say "he's changed!  I'm for him now!" and preserve their precious principles.

The Never Trump crowd isn't big, but it's capitulation will help firm up the new coalition.

The race is Trump's to lose

Trump's campaign has been undisciplined and unfocused since the primaries.  It's shown moments of genius but then squandered these opportunities.  The latest reshuffle could well be decisive.  All Trump has to do at this point is show that he isn't a horrible, child-eating monster and he will win.

My co-blogger remarked that Hillary is promising everyone everything and he views that as a critical edge.  The problem is that no one believes a word she says.  Even her defenders know she lies all the time about everything.  Indeed, progressive thinkers like to sit around admiring her lies, and comparing them with better ones from Obama and her husband.

Either way, they know none of what she says counts.

Trump had a good week, and he can still screw this up, but with just a little more discipline, he can take control of the race.  Advertisements juxtaposing him unloading relief supplies in Louisiana with Obama and Clinton relaxing on vacation will send a powerful message.

During the debates, he can remark that she still won't release the transcripts of her speeches to the big banks - which she apparently regards as more important than classified national security documents and her claim to competence and fighting for the "little guy" will be destroyed.

In short, she's spectacularly vulnerable.  We'll see if Trump can finally exploit this.

 

Hillary's Trump Card: Free College Tuition & Student Debt Relief

This election is difficult to figure out -- starting with Donald Trump improbably winning the GOP nomination against a large field of opponents despite his lack of political experience, inadequate "ground game" and penchant for putting his foot in his mouth.

Never Trumpers and other GOP establishment types make much of the fact that The Donald has a much lower level of support from Republican women than Mitt Romney did four years ago, and they claim hispanics and Muslims will vote for him in lower numbers, too, because he has supposedly alienated them. Perhaps they are right. But they also don't seem to perceive that the number of first-time voters (or first-time-in-a-long-timers who cast ballots) may well be significant and will support Trump in large numbers.

Trump has resonated with his acknowledgement of how badly America's middle class and struggling low-wage workers have been hurt by one-sided trade deals, his desire to use tariffs to whip trade partners into shape, his commitment to protect the homeland from terrorists and his promise to build a border wall and stanch the influx of illegal immigrants.

He also has repeatedly hammered the odious Hillary Clinton as the lying crook she is. In recent days he has reiterated that electing Hillary will result in a dreary continuation of the failed Obama policies: anemic growth, stagnant wages and little opportunity -- not to mention total chaos in the Middle East due to a sclerotic foreign policy.

But Hillary may have an ace in the hole to woo millennials who might otherwise be willing to give Trump a shot despite the thorough Marxist brainwashing many of them endured in high school and college: Free college tuition and forgiveness of student loan debt.

During the Democrat primary, Hillary disagreed with opponent Sen. Bernie Sanders about offering free college tuition. She has since changed her tune to propose free tuition at in-state public colleges and universities for families with incomes up to $125,000. She has also stated that if elected, she will spend over $100 billion on forgiveness of student loans.

I don't know how many millions college students, or recent graduates burdened by high student loan debt while holding low-wage jobs will vote for Hillary because of these promises. But I would hazard to guess the number is significant, and would augment the young Hillary voters whose main concerns may be issues like abortion or the environment.

This is a tough row to hoe for The Donald, and his campaign must be careful about how it responds. Trying to offer Democrat Lite simply comes across as brazen pandering and would probably not buy Trump many more votes.

 

The Demagogues' Khan Job

You'd think Donald Trump would know by now that the Democrats and their stooges in the news media are out to bait him each and every day. And if he takes the bait and flails away with undisciplined anger and petulance, this just encourages them more. The media, being the sharks they are, smell blood in the water, and swarm The Donald, hoping to finish him off more than three months before the presidential election. His recent plunge in poll numbers viz a viz Hillary Clinton proves the point.

Lesson No. 2: The Demagogues -- er, DEMOCRATS -- regularly practice identity politics, and get away with it. If they can find a way to pit one race, religion or gender against another for their party's benefit, they will jump at the chance. Never mind if they're using someone as a pawn, as they did Khizr Khan and his wife during their recent convention, when Mr. Khan spoke of his son's giving the ultimate sacrifice in the Iraq War and denounced Trump for his supposedly bigoted beliefs about Muslims.

Army Capt. Humayun Khan is a hero. He gave his life for his country. No one disputes that. But Trump couldn't resist getting down and wallowing in the mud with Khizr Kahn when Kahn claimed, "If it was up to Donald Trump, (Humayun) never would have been in America. Donald Trump consistently smears the character of Muslims." This is B.S., but it's best to just let it be.

Instead, Trump fired back, and made a snide comment about how Khizr's wife, Ghazala, was silent during Khizr's speech because "maybe she wasn't allowed to have anything to say." The leftists went ballistic, and accused Trump of attacking a Gold Star family -- one that has lost a member in military action. This story has taken on a life of its own, commanding multiple headlines in reliably liberal organs such as the New York Times and Washington Post as well as dominating air time on left-leaning TV networks such as MSNBC and CNN. The leftists definitely have a thing for overkill, I'll grant them that.

During his speech, Khan stated he doubted Trump had even read the U.S. Constitution, and pulled out a pocket-sized copy of the document. My bullshit detector immediately activated: Does anyone who isn't a naive liberal really believe that Khan walks around with a copy of the constitution? The whole thing sure looks contrived.

And aside from that, the implication that Trump's proposal to ban or severely restrict immigration of Muslims due to the very real threat of Islamofascist terrorism is unconstitutional is patently false. Former U.S. Attorney Andrew McCarthy states that the U.S. Constitution does not forbid a religion test in matters of immigration. In fact, the Constitution has nothing to say on the matter.

A recent column by McCarthy led with this hard-hitting statement: "Of all the ignorant pronouncements in the 2016 presidential campaign, the dumbest may be that the Constitution forbids a 'religious test' in the vetting of immigrants. As I have stated numerous times, countries like Syria and Iraq do not have reliable, credible infrastructure, institutions or informational resources necessary for documents such as birth certificates, driver licenses, bank statements, passports and visas. Counterfeits and corruption are widespread. FBI Director James Comey has expressed grave concerns about his agency's ability to properly vet all of the immigrants -- a process that can take years, if it can be done at all.

For the Obama administration to state that Muslim immigrants into this country are thoroughly vetted is tantamount to saying strip club patrons are virgins who pray the rosary every day. Preposterous; stupid; idiotic; asinine. This administration is mendacious, over and over again. Obama wouldn't know the truth if it hit him in the face!

President Obama has done enough damage flooding our country with third world immigrants who spread disease, commit crimes and sponge off of welfare benefits. And HildaBeast, America's version of German Chancellor Angela Merkel, promises to increase the number of Muslim immigrants from the Middle East. Suicide under the pseudonym of "diversity." Such is the poison of progressives.

But getting back to The Donald... Why is it so hard to stick to a few key messages? 1) The economy is wretched, and tens of millions of people are hurting. An astounding 93 million adults are not in the labor force. We need to bring back growth, prosperity and jobs; 2) NAFTA, the World Trade Organization and the Trans Pacific Partnership are arrangements that benefit the 1 percent and their cronies. China and other nations are screwing the United States 24/7. These trade arrangements harm working class and middle class Americans. We need to cast a jaundiced eye to trade deals, and seriously consider using tariffs as a cudgel. 3) Out-of-control immigration is overburdening a nation that already cannot take care of its own and is $20 trillion in debt. Further, it is driving down wages and increasing unemployment among already hurting populations including young blacks and hispanics. 4) We have failed time and time again to protect our citizens from Islamofascist terorrists, and jihad sleeper cells are still lurking, just waiting for orders to strike. We must wake up, and fast!

Trump, sad to say, too often behaves like a 3-year-old with his immature, knee-jerk need to go tit-for-tat with lowlifes and demagogues. In politics, as hard as it is to do, occasionally one must squelch his massive ego and vindictiveness and let his opponents prove themselves to be the shallow, whiny failures that they are. Would that the Donald would take heed.
