Nurg, are you really that daft?

They sent a professor to the hospital. They closed another with riots and then "patrolled" the campus armed with baseball bats.

When a Bernie Bro tried to assassinate the Republican Caucus, their reaction was a combination of "they deserve it" and "We need to try harder next time."

You may think it's clever being tongue-in-cheek about this, but it isn't.

When Gabby Giffords got shot, the conservatives were falsely blamed, but their reaction wasn't "Sorry not sorry" or "he needed more target practice."

The left is saying that, and I linked to it in my article.

You aren't going to like the world your people are creating.

Speaking of, what are the leftists saying?

Oh, I believe that you believe Leftists are pushing an agenda of violence and fear. I just feel that we, the great Red Menace, clearly need to own that and step up our game.

Ah yes, the famous "whatabout" defense.

I'd give this argument some credence if it weren't for the verified examples of the FBI and other government agencies creating these groups. It's almost as if they feel the need to make the dragon so they can slay it.

Search this blog's archives for "Hutaree militia" if you don't believe me.

Just to be clear, I think it's wonderful for people of all political parties and persuasions to understand why the right to self-defense is so important. If more people took responsibility to protect themselves and the people around them, crime would drop considerably and so would terrorism.

But spare us with your fever dreams about right-wing militias. Go on any college campus and wave the hammer and sickle. Nothing will happen to you. People will actually smile and wave.

Then go and wave a Trump sign. You'll be lucky to leave with your teeth intact.

If you're worried about political violence, look in the mirror. It's your side that's pushing it.

Isn't that why we have guns and the 2nd amendment, in order to defend ourselves from oppressive gov't? Because I have good news: Republicans are the gov't now.

Given the prevalence of right-wing American militias, I can't see why leftists forming armed groups is some sort of bridge too far. I get that it's a bit too sportsmanlike to let an advantage in firepower and training slide. I mean, can you imagine a Rwanda where the sides were evenly matched?
