I've probably spent altogether too much time hammering Conservatism, Inc., but there are few creatures more deserving of abuse.
I'm not sure what bothers me the most about these schmucks. Is it their smug incompetence or the nauseating self-righteousness with which they betray their erstwhile allies?
Bill Kristol has been on a roll of late. When he's not condemning working-class Americans as lazy punks because they won't work for black market wages as day laborers, he's cheering on an unelected and unaccountable leftist Deep State to thwart Donald Trump.
Evan "Egg McMuffin" McMullin - Kristol's idiotic stalking horse who was supposed to throw the election to Hillary - is another piece of work. If you didn't know he was a paid-up member of Conservatism, Inc., you'd swear he was a stormtrooper for Moveon.org. Wow, he's calling a gay Jew a Nazi. How clever! Did one of Soros' people write that tweet for him?
I've said it before but it gets clearer every day: Donald Trump has ripped away the facade of lies that has obscured American politics for the last two decades. There is a Beltway Party and it's only allegiance it to itself. The hacks and paid shills of the Conservatism, Inc. media never had any actual interest in change or small government, they were simply out to make bank.
Over the last sixteen years we've added nearly $2 trillion to the national debt, kicked off three wars - none of which we won - and our national infrastructure is crumbling around us.
I think the reason so many of these weasels claim Trump will be Hitler is that it is the only way he can make Dubya and Obama look good by comparison. It isn't a prediction, it's a prayer.
One thing I also find interesting: Senator John McCain keeps acting like he's the World's Greatest Military Authority, but he never made flag rank. Strangely, some of the most capable military officers of the last generation are signing on to work with Trump. It's almost like McCain's ego is more important than the national interest or something.
The sooner these people leave the national stage, the better.
