Advent ends this weekend and the days until Christmas are short.
What better time to take a break from politics and think about the joy of gift giving?
Here at the Posse, we believe that there are few gifts more useful and meaningful than firearms. In fact, my first firearm (a Remington 870 shotgun) was a Christmas gift.
My joy was beyond words.
Since then the collection has grown, contracted and grown some more, but there are still guns I'd like to have.
Foremost among them is the Desert Eagle. They aren't the most practical weapon, but I'd like to fire a .44 magnum from an auto-loader (the .50 AE is just too expensive).
Another option would be a HK USP. I shot one of these years ago and it was sublime. It seemed to point so naturally and cleanly that I couldn't miss.
Both of those are lofty goals, though not as lofty as HK's semi-auto MP5. I want one badly, but it's worth more than my car (which isn't saying much for the car, I know).
Back on planet Earth, I'm contemplating a Walther P99. They are affordable, but I also have a number of 9mm pistols, so it seems silly to add another one.
Maybe a big bore revolver? The Taurus Raging Judge in .454 Casull would be awesome, and kill just about anything that moves, without being insanely expensive.
So many options, so little money.
