Really? You've never heard of "The Second World War"?

Book One ("From War to War") of Volume One ("The Gathering Storm") is basically a recitation of Western failure. Not only did Hitler get what he wanted, the West managed to alienate both Italy and the Soviet Union - both of whom were initially staunchly anti-Hitler but later came to terms.

You might also try Henry Kissinger's book: "Diplomacy." Great read, makes similar points.

Could you please provide a citation?

Yep, and my authority on that is Winston Churchill.

You may have heard of him. He wrote a big book about it.

Sorry, did I read that right? "...the real Hitler did fairly well in foreign policy"?
