Well, it looks like the Nobel Peace Prize winner is dead-set on bombing Syria. Yeah, you got it. The same 'Fast-n-Furious' guy who strongly advocates gun control. That one. Um...well, no one ever claimed liberals were consistent...
Once again, Barack Obama's incoherent foreign 'policy' (and I use that term loosely) is proving to be an international embarrassment. He's in so far over his head, he simply doesn't have a clue what he's doing. But his off-the-charts narcissism and arrogance blind him to this fact. And most of his cult-like followers either support him or feel it's downright immoral and obscene to DARE speak out against their beloved savior.
It goes without saying that it's beyond stupid to publicly declare your intentions while you are in the process of planning military action. Like the quarterback who telegraphs his passes by locking his eyes on a receiver (a dead giveaway to defensive backs and linebackers), Obama and his henchmen are showing their hand, speaking out in public talking about firing "a shot across the bow" and performing a "tailored, limited" strike. But unleashing the dogs of war can and does have deadly unforeseen consequences.
Supposedly killing Syrian leader Bashar al-Assad is not the intent, nor is causing the collapse of his government. But weakening Syria's military capability by, say bombing its aircraft, air defense system and runways, does nothing but embolden the opposition, including al Qaeda and other bad actors.
Attacking Syria may also inspire Bashar's brutal regime to unleash chemical weapons without restraint, causing pain, suffering and death on a scale far greater than the recent attacks or Saddam Hussein's attacks against Kurds over 20 years ago. Yes, the administration claims it was Assad's forces who mounted the attack in a Damascus suburb earlier this month, but I would take that with a grain pound of salt. After all, this administration and the truth are often total strangers.
I have not heard anyone make this observation, but I cannot help but wonder if Israel hater Obama secretly hopes that Iran will make good on its threats to rain missiles down on Israel should the U.S. attack Syria. An extreme statement, you say? I think not. The O-man's disdain and contempt for Israel has been clear from the start. I trust him about as far as I can throw him.
An attack on Israel would prompt a swift, severe response by Israel, very possibly including nuclear weapons. All hell could break loose in a big hurry.
Iran may also decide to unleash its sleeper cells here in the United States. Make no mistake, Hezbollah has planted its evil seeds in our nation, and they are ready to strike at any time. Additionally, oil prices are destined to skyrocket as events spin out of control. Higher gasoline prices will worsen an already anemic economy.
This hope and change stuff really sucks the big one. I don't know how much more hope and change we can take. I just HOPE things CHANGE for the better, but I'm not holding my breath.
