Good grief. The Spartans hung in there, but I don't think anyone really expected them to win. Ah well, wait till next year.
I wasn't really frustrated by our many mistakes, what got to me was the ESPN announcers' obsession with Texas Tech's ex-head coach. What was his name again?
I don't seriously think the fix was in - though with some of those calls, you have to wonder - but my the game fit the narrative quite nicely, didn't it? Why gum up the works with talking about Blair White, or some of the other talents on MSU's team?
Why waste valuable broadcast space by noting what MSU has accomplished over the last three years - and where it has to go?
Nah, the game was just a backdrop to talk about that one guy who wasn't even in the @#$#%! stadium.
Pathetic.
ANOTHER WISE CHOOSER: Congrats to Arkansas QB Ryan Mallett, who could have spent this weekend watching games on the television with his former team in icy Ann Arbor (current temp: 16 F), got a nice bowl win.
