One of the few benefits of the Democrats taking Congress is that their left-wing allies now feel emboldened enough to dispense with the smokescreen of saying they "support the troops" and let their true feelings show.

This is the true nature of the post-modern left. They don't want peace, they crave defeat and they reserve their greatest hatred for the people they know deep down are better than them: military veterans.
The American people may not be certain of where to go on Iraq, but this is certain: spitting on wounded veterans is about as unpopular a position as one can take. It will be interesting to see how supportive Congress will be of this nonsens.
