Purging CIA

Can there be anything more rediculous than the current media howling about the Bush administration's much-needed housecleaning at CIA?

Given the debacle over Iraq's WMD program and the agency's deficiencies in dealing with the terrorism threat in general, it is hard to think of an organization that better deserves a stack of pink slips.

Of course this is being portrayed as an attempt to "corrupt" otherwise apolitical bureaucrats, a defense so laughable as to be absurd.

These people are either stunningly incompetent or blinded by politics.  In either event, they deserve, nay require, the sack.

The Posse takes this as a good sign of things to come.  The administration is quickly consolidating its gains and spending its "political capital" where it counts: national security.

UPDATE:  Okay, this is what we get for taking weekends off.  Just One Minute has an even more extensive roundup on the dust-up at CIA.
